Here We Go Magic

Free download of a single from their album out in June at Secretly Canadian.

June sounds so far away. Maybe this is because Oregon is experiencing January weather and I have been transported back 3 months.

Get sunny already!

Cruel Summer

In a fit of nostalgia I watched the Cruel Summer music video last night.

Craving light overalls, cap sleeves, shaggy hair and heat.

Lot's of heat.

Slim Slack

After work I tried to change into my magenta jeans and tank for dinner with friends.

Funny thing...where are my magenta jeans? Missing.

I put on a pair of blue american apparel unisex slim slacks instead and instantly remembered that i love these pants!

They were buried in my jean pile. I'm an out-of-sight, out-of-mind kinda gal so it is easy for me to forget that I love things.

How about having a boyfriend that can wear the same jeans as you?
Is that weird or cute?

I think these two look cute. But maybe that is creepy.

Shoesday-Tuesday

This past weekend I went to Seattle. While waiting for our table at Bastille in Ballard we went to check out The Field House and Blackbird.

I almost died when I saw girls' Ben Simon hi-tops.

Then I got really jealous. Where are Mine?

She & Him

Stream the entire new album.

NPR wins again.

Shoesday-Tuesday

Nude booties.

So I can look like this girl.

Also known as the cutest thing I have seen in a long time.

I apologize that there is no photo credit for the cuteness. She has been sitting on my desktop for weeks and now I can't remember what style blog she came from.

I will happily credit it if anyone knows.

Lina Rennell

I have an old bolt of muslin from my apparel design days. I have been looking for a good weekend to potato print the lot and make tops and dresses.

These printed pieces from Lina Rennell have been taunting me for the past week.

Time to get started.

Göteborg, Sweden

I did some accidental research on this place.

Here is a mix of 8-reasons to move there.

I will listen to that while eating a smorrasbord and drinking aquavit tonight.

Can we have a revival of retro short swimsuits for boys?
I feel like that is a simple request.

Mousetrap

Giant size. Awe inspiring.

And apparently done in one take.

Well done.

I could never even get the board game to go all the way through. No idea how Rube Goldberg managed to conceptualize and build this machine.

Shoesday-Tuesday

For the boys. L.L. Bean Signature Ranger Moc.

They have slowly been giving us teasers to this new line. These shoes are a limited edition series of 100.

I can't wait to see the complete collection.

Pacific Wonderland

I love the look of old license plates. So simple and perfectly graphic.

Oregon is reissuing the original Pacific Wonderland plates.

I cannot tell you how badly I want these babies.
